ABC's Revenge

I'm addicted to ABC's television show Revenge. I knew once ABC released they had new writers for season 3 there was bond to be an amazing twist to bring the show back to life. Man these writers weren't afraid to start this season off with a bang. As for the finale it sure ended with one as well.

This season has been one heck of a roller coaster ride and this season finale was an ending that left me hoodwinked. I really don't want to spoil it for you… so go catch up on this entire season and I mean every single episode because I didn't see that ending coming. Victoria definitely surprised me but so did Emily. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

For those of you whom haven't seen a Revenge episode I'll give you a synopsis of the shows plot.

Revenge is inspired by the novel The Count of Monte Cristo. The pilot episode premiered on September 21, 2011 where we were introduced to Miss Emily Throne, who comes to the Hampton's and rents out a beach house, David Clarke's former home, located next to the Grayson's family mansion. Through flashbacks we find out that Miss Throne is really Amanda Clarke. We also find out that her father, David Clarke, was falsely framed for the bombing of flight 197 when she was a little girl. After a lengthy trail he was sentenced to life imprisonment, and was later murdered in prison by the same people that framed him. So Emily returns to the Hampton's with a plan to seek revenge for those who wronged her and her father. In the beginning the plan was to destroy every individual that had played a role in her fathers imprisonment but as each episode passes Emily finds out more about her fathers past and has to reevaluate her plans for each individual. As in, The Count of Monte Cristo, plans of revenge have devastating consequences for the innocent as well as the guilty. Each episode brought its own obstacles and with it new characters whom became collateral damage or Emily's newest ally.

Season 1 Highlights

Emily starts dating Daniel, son of Conrad Grayson. Frank pushes Lydia, Conrad's mistress, off her apartment balcony sending her 5 stories down to the roof of a taxi placing her in a coma. Nolan viewed this scene off his spy whale cam and later gets threatened by Frank. Frank finds out Emily's true identity and tracks down (fake) Amanda Clarke just to be killed in cold blood by her. Oh.. Emily and Amanda switched identities after they were 18 yrs old and waved goodbye to juvie. The plan starts to unravel once the real Emily Throne comes to town, pretty much warning Emily ( the real Amanda Clarke) that someone is onto her. Meanwhile Daniel's best friend Tyler has been crashing in the pool house. Amanda starts a romance with Jack Porter (real Amanda's childhood love). Emily finds out that Charlotte is the daughter of David Clark which makes her Emily's half sister. The mid season finale ends with Amanda standing over a dead body which is later identified as Tyler. Even more shocking Daniel's tuxedo is covered in Tyler's blood & that's only half of the first season so you can imagine the craziness that this show has to offer.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Love,

Jamoore
