Music Monday: Henry Krinkle.

Hey love bugs,

I have been ghost protocol on my weekly music updates. Sorry love bugs! So to start off this new month with the right foot I'm going to get back to the routine of things. Lately I've been listening to a boat load of house music. I came across this artist through a follower on my Tumblr. If you like deep house/electronic you will like this dude. I don't know what it is about this song when I heard it but its bloody brilliant. I had it on repeat for like 2 hours straight. Check it out below.

You can order this song on iTunes and don't forget to keep up with his current music on Soundcloud.

Here is another song I like...

No. 304 Coruscate

No. 304 Coruscate

No. 304 Coruscate by lovejamoore featuring rustic home decor

Hey love bugs,

Every time I make a new Polyvore set I like to reflect on the first few sets I've ever made.
Its amazing to look back and see how much I've evolved in that time.

Practice really makes perfect!

For anyone that wants to do something as simple as making a polyvore set or changes in ones life JUST DO IT

I know it sounds too simple.
Imagine if you started today…
60 days from now you will be one step closer to where you want to be.
Now imagine 1, 5, or even 10 years from now.
Future YOU would thank you,
but you have to make that first step.

In my case... For ages I've always wanted to make my own fashion blog.
The last time I had a blog was in high school
& it was more like an online diary then a blog.
I remember talking to a friend about getting a job at a online magazine company to be a writer.
I was venting and unconsciously talking myself out of applying.

My friend cut me off and simply said "what's stopping you from doing it?"

In that moment I didn't have a valid answer..

silently I told myself nothing.

One week later I started my blog, made a sample post and then I applied.
I didn't get the job but I took that first step.
This started off as a sample and turned into a hobby.
I love it.
I love my blog because its a reflect of me.
(the creative side that I can't get enough of)

My advice to you is stop wasting time and just take that first step to your dreams.

Love,

Jamoore

LJM Diary: Trees with no leaves

You see there was a tree,
A tree with not one leaf.
It seems
the leaves weren't meant to be
alive
to thrive
because they had all
died.

You see the tree,
the tree had once been
Prolific.
Vigorous.
The branches
stretched out so wide.
The leaves
hanging softly by its side.

You see the tree,
the tree goes thru
this all the time
some times its droopy, and
some times its bubbly
as can be.

You see
it just depends
what the day brings.
Some days are sunny
some are wet,
some are freezing cold,
&
some are breezy as heck.

What ever the day brings
it seems
the tree just
inhales it all
then exhales
until the sun falls
falls asleep.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Letting go of everything.

Some days I admire the tree.
You see
the tree
Was like me, and
I'm like the tree.
Some days I'm up;
other days I'm down.
Some days i'm happy;
other days I frown.
At one point or another
I seemed to loss my leaves
baring just me.
The days go by before I exhale
but once I do
I'm back to the old me.
Reinvigorated.
Rejuvenated.
Producing new leaves
there may only be a few now
but watch...
I'll be full again.
Glowing.
Beaming.
Bright again.
Like the tree
I'll take it all
in.
Inhale.
Inhale.
Inhale.
Inhale.
Inhale.
Inhale.

Exhale.

Finally,

I
can
breathe.

***Flawless - Yonce x Minaj

I Woke Up to This!

Beyoncé does it again; catching the world off guard with a remix of her song "Flawless" featuring Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj.

Personally, I'm not a die hard Bey fan. When it comes to her previous albums I would only like give or take 3 to 4 songs. Yes, I know she can sing. Yes, she is an amazing performer. For me, I just wasn't connecting with her. Maybe I couldn't relate to the message of her songs but whatever it was changed when she dropped her self titled visual album.

As for her self-titled album I felt everything I wanted from her as an artist was received. Once I clicked that button and purchased that album; I landed in Beyoncé's world.

"Beyoncé" is played religiously and all these lovely remixes give each song an exciting twist. Seeing the evolution of Beyoncé as a person, a wife and a mother we really get to know all the different sides to this incredible artist.

Check out this flawless collaboration below and at flawless.beyonce.com

Remember all that chit chat about Jay-Z and Solange elevator fight back in May.

Well Beyoncé surely gets the last laugh in her verse, "We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators / Of course sometimes shit go down / When it's a billion dollars on an elevator."

In the case you didn't hear her the first time she cunningly repeats the line. Then laughs it off but also including a "cha ching" sound effect to reiterate because she is after all flawless.

Favorite Verses

From Bey,

"These thots can't clock me nowadays
You wish I was your pound cake
Boy you know I look good as fuck
You wish I was your baby momma
And we could go around and get some good karma, but no
We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators
Of course sometimes shit go down
When it's a billion dollars on an elevator"

"I wake up looking this good
And I wouldn't change it if I could
And you can say what you want
I'm the shit"

From Nicki,

"Yo, like MJ doctor, they killing me
Propofol, I know they hope I fall
But tell 'em winning is my motherfuckin' protocol
'Cause I score before I ever throw the ball"

"The queen of rap, slayin' with Queen B
If you ain't on the team, you playin' for team D
'Cause we A-listers, we paid sisters"

Check out the lyrics for this amazing remix here.

Fun Fact

This song was originally release as "Bow Down."
Though it was reworked for the album as a direct response for critics.

DIY: Turn leggings into a crop top

Hey lovelies,

Remember that old pair of leggings; the one at the bottom of your drawer just collecting dust. Yes, that one with the lint balls all near the inner thigh and that other one with a hole from where your nails tore it. Instead of just leaving them in the drawer or throwing them away. Lets grab those bad boys and make a top out of it.

This post is inspired by a video I saw on YouTube by TheNotoriousKIA. I was excited to do this DIY because I have a ton of leggings just hiding out in my closet and now they will have a purpose again. Let's get started.

First, lay the leggings flat on the floor.

See where you want your neckline to start. For this crop top I want something different like a V neck. I've been stocking up on crop tops recently that either have a crew neck or a scoop neck.

Now that you have figured out where you want your neckline to start just grab a pair of scissors.

At first the V neck wasn't deep enough for me so I cut a bit more off.

Lovelies check out my crop top. =D

Music Errday: Trap Music?!

Hey lovelies,

Summer time is the best time to unwind. School is out which means more free time to do whatever you want. For me thats a combination of party time with my girls and "me time". Yes, me time! We as humans have to make sure to always make time for oneself. Of course their is that summer fling or you can be like Lana an be getting over a break up. Whatever it is; summer is all about having fun. For me summer is one of the only times when I'm free to venture and engage in all the activities I enjoy.

I love music 95% of the time you will catch me bumpin' to music in my car, in my room or just walking down the street with my headphones. I've been listening to a boat load of music and I mean a boat load border line cruise load lol. A few days ago I was on sound cloud and I notice Diplo drop this remix. I'm going to be honest with y'all I've been on soundcloud multiple times and literally just skipped the song cause it really wasn't my taste but that day I thought to myself "humph (insert odd head tilt) diplo has a remix. I never really listened to him... maybe I should check it out" and I'm so happy I did. This sound is like hip hop meets pop meets trap meets electric... I'm pretty sure there is a proper term for it but for now lets call it trap music.

If your familar with these club banging songs Harlem Shake and Turn down for What then check out this remix

Here is another Diplo remix of Calvin Harris song "Summer."

I love this next one.

Mind you I said these were the pop version. Honestly tho if you like "Turn down for what" I don't see why you wouldn't like these ones.

In the case you have been living under a rock you can check out those songs I mention below.

Music Monday: La La La La - Ari Lennox

"Coiled in your skin,
is where I'm stuck in.
I'll be coming again.
Sweet charcoal black
is where I wanna be at.
I'll be coming back.
And I know it's a no, no,
how I'm feeling for you.
I can't rid him of my sheets.
Pain wants me to let go
I'd be lying if I say no.
Hurts so much that it's sweet."

Tumblr never fails me when it comes to finding talented artist. I've been itching for a refreshing song I can just chill to. A few days ago I stumbled upon Ari Lennox who is giving me life with her Neo-soul music with her Ariography EP. "La La La La" is the first song I heard from this artist and its soothing to the point no one could kill my vibe.

SN: When a singer (or any type of artist from a dancer to a painter) is able to deliver a piece of work that just moves you; I have complete respect and trust within them. That is the kind of artist I would follow because its pure. You can see the passion an artist has for their work and you can appreciate their uniqueness.

 Ari is just that, unique.
Her voice warms my soul.
What I would give to have pipes like her man.
Ari is a young singer and songwriter from Washington D.C.
Find out a bit of her story from her interview with Deyior, here.

This cover she did tho Check out her take on Beyonce's XO.

She is currently working on her debut album.
She has been posting singles every week on her sound cloud.

I'm loving her single, "Bound," Check that out below.

Download this song on iTunes here. Make sure to stay up to date with her instagramwebsite, twittersound cloud and youtube.

Cocaine 80's x Jhene Aiko

"Which side? This side, you should switch sides.
On that acting like a bitch side by the way.
You need to switch sides right away.
We can live forever, maybe die today.
Love side, hate side, never in-between.
That's what we stand for, y'all fall for anything.
Westside, Westside, by the way.
Live forever for love or you can die today."

This verse tho...

Jhene dropped her first official single from her debut album Souled Out with support from James Fauntleroy and No I.D. After releasing some of my favorite hit songs from her Sail Out EP like Bed Peace, Stay Ready, 3:16 AM and The Worst. I'm looking forward to hear whats to come next. Jhene previous collaboration with Cocaine 80's is still on repeat on my playlist. Check that song out below.

Hope you enjoy.

C.O.S.: Beauty Haul

Hey lovelies,

I recently have been stocking up on some cosmetic products.
From MaryKay to Lush to M.A.C. to Bioré.
I've been trying it all.

Lush.

Therapy is a massage bar.
It pretty much works like lotion just in bar form.
It is said to help with scarring.

The jar on the right is Brazened Honey which is a fresh face mask.
It's made with honey, lime oil, ground almonds, eggs and ginger.
This is a great deep cleansing mask that leaves your skin feeling brighter and fresher.

The jar on the left is Dark Angel which is a facial cleanser.
It's made with black sugar, charcoal and avocado oil.
This is great for exfoliating and leaves your skin hydrated.
This can also be used to lighten skin.
I use it on my face, my scar and feet; so far it works great.

Mary Kay

Mary Kay is one of my favorite cosmetic lines.
It is great when you know a few MK girls too.
Check out my MK consultant if you need any products. (Here!)

MK Lash Love is my favorite mascara.
It helps define my extra curly lashes for and everyday look.
The runner up is MK Ultimate Mascara which is great if you need volume.

I love blush!!!
Shy Blush is amazing if you want a nice soft pink with gold shimmer.
I'm restock my make up bag with that one.

I wanted to try something new so I grab this citrus bloom.
I'll let you know how it works out.

M.A.C.

Who doesn't love MAC?
They create amazing out of this world colored lipsticks.
Don't get me started on the eye shadows.

This was recommended for me as I was in desperate need of a highlighter.
I love it!!!! It blends nicely with my complexion.

Heroine is amazing!!!!

Pore strips come in handy.
I didn't realize how clogged my pore were until I used this.

Check out the lovely samples I have to try out.

Love,

Jamoore
